Business Overview:
This role is responsible for assisting with the development and execution of the North Americas Corporate Security strategy. This role includes operational management and oversight of issues involving security operations, incident investigations, risk assessments, executive protection, event protection, site/building security monitoring, and access control. This position will support regional business offices and staff to ensure the security of staff, assets and operations across the region. The position will be responsible for maintaining relationships with law enforcement agencies throughout the region (with an emphasis on local law enforcement in the New York City area) and security providers and ensuring that those relationships exists across the region.
This role is also responsible for leading America's security investigations that involve employee issues, due diligence, workplace incidents and issues involving third parties. Deputy Head will require excellent judgment, strong communications skills and the ability to know when to communicate and escalate issues. The role will require a well-defined approach to conducting investigations and one that is in line with the BNPP corporate culture and conducted with the highest level of ethical standards. The deputy head will be required to know when to escalate issues and seek advice from Legal, Compliance and Human Resources, and be capable of successfully partnering with key stakeholders throughout the bank. As a member of the crisis team this position will be required to assist in supporting initiatives across the Security, Business Continuity, Crisis Management teams.

The responsibilities of the Deputy Head of Security include but are not limited to:
• Oversee all aspects of the fire safety program for the NY offices and branch affiliates, Including training and recruiting.
• Oversee the defibrillator program for the entire region, including coordinating training and updating equipment.
• Oversee the supervision and scheduling of the contracted guard staff for the NY, Jersey City, Woodbridge, and offices.
• Oversee the confidential shredding and clean desk programs.
• Assist in Managing the access control and CCTV system for the region
• Will be responsible for all Security matters when the Head of Corporate Security is out of the office.
• Will assist in being the liaison for BNPP with Federal, State and Local Law enforcement and emergency services, building management etc.
• Will investigate all incidents of security related matters, confidential investigation, scams, etc.
• Oversee the response to all emergencies and requests from Business groups for assistance / special events.
• Managing of the Corporate Security Case management Index for all investigations.
• Preparation of Annual Report, Monthly inspections and Due Diligence reviews.
• Direct supervision of Corporate Security personnel as it relates to their job functions and performance and ensures that all reports and reviews are prepared accurately and in a timely manner.
• Partner with business groups across the Americas to ensure that the security program is well socialized and designed to meet the needs of the business
• Work closely with the Global Head of Corporate Security oversee cross-functional programs, take on a key leadership position in the deployment of programs and initiatives across security platform,
• Work closely and actively partner with the business continuity team
• Ensure BNPP remains abreast of industry trends and is continuously improving security and life safety processes and practices to mitigate associated risks
• Create and deliver Security training to employees and security staff.
• Assist in budget process for the group
• Oversee and deliver security risk assessments that are in line with our corporate policy to ensure that BNPP assets are properly protected at sites within the region.
• Assist in Executive Protection Assessment at High Threat Venues. Conduct site visit and analysis for events. Brief Executives on Intelligence updates domestically and internationally.
• Provide physical security recommendations for new design / build projects of office space
• Oversee the regions security console and its operations Minimum Required Qualifications:
• Minimum of 10 years specialized law enforcement, and or military and with at least 5 years of executive protection (EP) experience in these organizations
• 5 - 10 years corporate security management experience
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent preferred
• Requires strong relationships with law enforcement personnel at the local and federal level. Preference will be given to candidates that maintain strong ties to the NYC local law enforcement and emergency management community
• Experience will multinational corporate security preferred
• Management/Supervision experience of both full time employees as well as contract and outsourced security guard staff
• Familiarity with security systems including access control, video monitoring, identification/biometric systems, surveillance systems
• Solid communication and presentation skill
• Possesses EP training and experience in the following specialties: team member, detail leader, primary and secondary vehicle driver (including armored vehicles), medical (First Aid, CPR, AED), protective intelligence
• Experience managing security details in domestic and international locations
• Operational understanding and fluent usage of today's technology tools across all platforms (PC, tablet, smartphone-smartwatch, radio, satellite, tracking device, etc.)
• Possess a current valid passport and driver's license
• Can work nights and weekends as required and at times work uninterrupted with a 24/7 availability during protective and or investigative tasks
• Demonstrate professional and relevant experience in physical security management, risk assessment, and mitigation measures Preferred Qualifications:

• Not Applicable The expected starting salary range for this position is between $160,000 to $200,000 annually. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business line, and geographic/office location.
